Bio for David Doonan

David Doonan has a rather unique combination of skills and background; fine art photographer, web developer, political activist, Union member and publicly elected official.

In August 2001 Doonan left full-time employment to become a stay-at-home dad and begin a web design business. Three weeks later came September 11. Realizing that America was going to lash out in anger and vengeance, Doonan changed his party registration to Green as a symbolic vote for peace. Since then he has been using his skills designing web sites and literature for Greens and other progressive groups such as Single Payer New York, the Free Gary Tyler Committee and Brave New Films.

Currently Doonan is web manager for gp.org, photo editor of Green Pages and dues paying member of the Communications And Computer Workers Industrial Union 560, Industrial Workers of the World.

In March 2008, David Doonan was elected Village Mayor of Greenwich, New York.

He is currently managing the following candidate web sites for the 2010 election cycle.
